Reading is Fundamental
Reading is Fundamental was founded in 1966 and works to build a literate nation by helping young people discover the joy of reading. RIF's highest priority is to serve the nation's underserved children and families through the development and delivery of literacy programs and campaigns that motivate youth to read regularly. Through a national, grassroots network of 450,000 community volunteers at 25,000 RIF program sites, 5.1 million children are provided with 16.5 million new, free books and other essential literacy resources each year.

Kappa Kidney Camp
Kappa Kidney Kamp is a week-long residential camp for children ages 8 - 18, who are a kidney transplant recipient, are on dialysis, or have a chronic renal insufficiency (which means they will need to be on dialysis or need a kidney transplant soon). Camp is an opportunity for these children to enjoy being children while making sure their medical needs are being met 24 hours a day by health care professionals that donate their personal vacation time to come to camp. This past year Kappa alum and active chapters raised almost $14,000. The camp takes place in Bellefontaine, OH at the YMCA Camp Wilson in the month of July. Kappas and medical staff volunteer at the camp.

The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation was established in 1989 as a non-profit corporation, separate from the Fraternity, exclusively for the administration of funds for charitable and educational purposes. These charitable and educational purposes fall into four categories:
1. To educate and train, 2. To care for those in need, 3. To cherish the past, and 4. To manage the present with competency and efficiency.
Kendal at Granville
Kendal at Granville was started by a small group of Granville/Licking County citizens and Denison University alumni who, in January of 1996 met to "discuss their desire to have access to a facility in the Granville area which would provide a quality living environment with continuing health care" knowing that there was no such option available in Licking County at that time. The group wished to remain in or close to the Granville area and to maintain connections and relationships with their community, civic associations and Denison. Many retired professors, along with alum members of the Greek system, from Denison reside at Kendal.
Licking County Coalition for Housing (LCCH)
LCC was founded in late 1992, as a non-profit organization intended to serve the housing needs of homeless, low- and moderate-income residents of Licking County, Ohio. The mission of LCCH is to provide a community forum, to assess housing resources, to identify problems, and to create solutions through collaboration. This organization services the community by providing transitional housing for nearly 80 households (including more than 100 homeless children) and housing referral services for homeless families and individuals, as well as those at risk for homelessness. Currently, it is the only one of its kind serving Licking County. 63% of the transitional housing residents in the program are able to get their lives back together and obtain permanent housing. LCCH also provides two major programs. The Individual Development Account program is a savings program that requires participants to designate the ultimate use of the money saved and to attend money management training. The second program is the Successful Educational Endeavors Program while provides al the time and attention they need from certified teachers and volunteers to make sure that they are achieving their academic potential.
