Academics and Scholarship

At the Gamma Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, we take pride in our excellent scholarship. Our chapter average is currently above the All Women's Average and the All Sorority Average for Denison University. Our members are pursuing a large variety of majors from Biology to Theatre. We have several members who belong to honorary societies.

To promote scholarship within the chapter, we individually set academic goals each semester. In addition, Kappas who have achieved a high grade on an assignment receive a Scholastic Star celebrating that achievement. There is a Scholarship Brunch held at the end of each semester to acknowledge Kappas with outstanding grades and Kappas who have made great improvement in their grades.

Study Tables are held Tuesday and Thursday night from 7 to 9 in the Shaw Study Lounge and the Curtis West Study Lounge. Study Tables allow a time and place for members to study with each other. The Academic Excellence committee offers support and aid to any Kappa facing a difficulty with her grades or classes. The committee is dedicated to supporting each member throughout her four years at Denison and to prepare her for the future.
